Northern Pathology Townsville has
conveniently located Collection Centres in North Queensland from
Bowen in the South to Cardwell in the North and Charters Towers in the West All collection staff are
fully trained in the procedures they perform and are under the direct
supervision of a Collection Supervisor.
Our
policy is to maintain continuity of staffing in our collection centres. This
enables our staff to become familiar with the requirements of doctors local to
the area and to provide stability of care for patients.
An appointment is not required for most
tests. If your are having a "FASTING" blood test ie.
cholesterol or triglycerides, you should not eat or drink anything except
water, for 10 -12 hours prior to your blood test
